Banking & Financial Services
Banking, microfinance and fintech counsel under the CEMAC regulatory framework.

Overview
Financial institutions in Cameroon operate within a layered framework: banking regulations issued by the COBAC (the CEMAC banking commission, based in Libreville) and administered through the BEAC, combined with OHADA commercial law on secured transactions, insolvency and commercial companies. Lenders and borrowers alike must also navigate CEMAC exchange-control rules for cross-border money movements. ALPs advises on licensing and compliance, documents secured lending packages, and represents institutions and borrowers in restructuring and enforcement matters.
