Overview

Of-counsel figures occupy a distinctive place in the ALPs model: senior practitioners — including former members of the bar with long courtroom careers — who are neither associates nor partners, but whose judgment the firm can call on for complex litigation strategy, sensitive negotiations and matters before senior courts. Their involvement is arranged matter by matter, always under the supervising partner who remains responsible for the client relationship. Of-counsel profiles are published as these relationships are formalised.
